Skills Training

May 31 to June 5, 2009 Opportunities are provided for additional training in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, horseback riding, target sports, and/or adventure education. You will be paid to learn these valuable skills.

The "C" in the YMCA

The YMCA began it's mission in 1844 in London, England. Sir George Williams saw a culture in moral crisis and formed an organization to strengthen spiritual values through Christian teaching and practice. The Young Men's Christian Association in the 21st Century is no longer just for the young, or just for men, and we welcome people of all faiths. YOU will be expected to play a part in this mission. It is an important part of our work as camp staff. Staff are expected to take part and lead daily chapel services, leading graces at meals, facilitating cabin devotions in the evenings, and in general, being a moral compass among your peers and for young people to follow.
